Todays ultrasound was awesome!! We saw the beating little heart right away!!! It was going 152 beats a minute so we have another hyper one! I don't think we'd know what to do if we had a calm one!HEHE!! They are now calling the baby a fetal pole and occasionally a fetus. HEHE!! Kyla gets upset when I refer to the baby as a "HE" she says, What you don't want a girl mom! I tell her that I just don't want to call the baby an "IT". I do think it's a boy though, but don't tell her or she will be UPSET! Luckily she is my little mama and she will love whatever we have!

Jayil's funny

I was getting dressed the other day and Jayli says, "Mommy I love your FAT belly!" So innocent and cute, but I kind of was taken off guard and said that's not very nice to say. She smiled and said,"It's because our baby is in there." So now I have permission from Jayli to blame allllll my FAT belly on a grain of rice size baby, Jayli says so!!!HEHE!!!

Boy?

Well we asked Dax if it was a girl or boy since day one and he always said, "NUHUH" Which is his word for NO! Yesterday, I asked him again to be funny and he said BOY! I asked him like 5 times and every time he said BOY! Since he's the newest from Heaven in our family we'll take his word for it unless the Ultrasound tells us different!HEHE!!
P.S. Kyla wants a girl and Vance and Jayli want a boy so either way someone will be happy, Mommy and Daddy just want healthy!!!! But the kids are just so excited for a baby they will love and love and love whatever we are blessed with!!!

Not a Secret anymore!

Somebody has been telling my news so I decided it was time that I open this blog to share the news myself. Last time we didn't tell until we knew we were having a boy, but that was a very lonely pregnancy, so I figure if I do have a miscarriage at least I will have my close friends to comfort me instead of wonder why I'm so depressed and moody. So if anything goes wrong I'm relying on all of you to help me through it!!!

update and funny story

I had my first ob apt with the nurse on Tuesday at 9am. I took the kids so I didn't have to make someone watch them. This new dr office is soooooo good to kids so it was soooo nice!! They totally made me feel Welcome and in charge of my pregnancy and delivery I LOVED IT!!!
They had me come back the next day for my first apt with the Dr and get my First Ultrasound!! It was too early to see the Heartbeat, which I'm not going to lie made me soooo Nervous, but the dr said that Everything looked PERFECT and we did see the yolk sac and the little kidney bean baby in there! It was sooooo CUTE!!! The kids got to see it on a big screen and they were so excited! My dr is soooo cool that he's having me come back in 2 weeks for a FREE ultrasound to see the heartbeat!!!! He even said that Joel can deliver the baby!!!YEAH!!!
When we left the dr office we told the kids that it's still a secret and don't tell Grandma when your there!!! Well I went to Costco to work the Cultural Hall Show and I get a phone call from my mom about an hour later, but I was swamped so I couldn't answer it. 10 minutes later Joel called so I answered to see what the emergancy was. Joel says, Vance just called me and told me that Jayli told your mom.

So here's what happened...
Jayli said, Grandma my mom is going to have a baby. Well Grandma didn't understand her, but Kyla sure did and she was MAD and yelled, "Jayli you weren't supposed to tell Grandma about the BABY!!! Mom is going to be soooo mad at you!" My mom said, she's only 4 so your mom won't be mad it's ok. Then Kyla said," You better not tell Aunt Annie about the baby." And Jayli said, "I can if I want to I'm only 4!" My Mom said it was hard not to laugh! But then she said, "No I think your mom would get mad if you kept telling people." I knew that Jayli's Loose lips would sink this ship!!!

The girls

This is how the girls found out. I called my new dr and they wanted me to come in right away for my first check up, and to get to know me, I was soooo impressed that they cared! So I had to take the girls and Dax because I didn't have anyone to watch them. So the nurse was realllly nice and cute with the kids and they were sooooo good! She took my history, drew my blood and asked the kids if they wanted a brother or sister, I told her that they didn't know, meaning they didn't know about the baby, but she took it as they didn't know what they wanted to have. So she said, oh you don't know if you want a brother or sister, and Kyla yelled out no I want a Sister. Jayli yelled back with I want a Brother! I was shocked that they already knew what they wanted and weren't shocked at all that they were going to have a new baby in the house. They were soooo EXCITED!

Vance is too Smart!!!

We kept Daxton a surprise until 14 weeks, so I thought I would be able to do the same this time. But I didn't realize that now Vance is older and wiser!!! Last week he said to me... Mom what are those things in the garbage in your bathroom, I KNEW I was caught, so I just played along to see if he really knew and was just fishing around for me to tell him. So I said what do you think they are, he said I don't know, but the way he said it I KNEW he KNEW! He said, they have all these lines on them what does that mean, he said, I don't know, but I read the box and it said pregnancy on them, He is toooo Smart, I didn't even think to hide the boxes so he wouldn't read them! So I said what do you think that means, he got all shy and then finally said, that you are going to have a baby. I said, That's what we hope! He then said the funniest thing, Well I get bored when I'm going to the bathroom so I like to look around and read stuff. He cracks me up!!!
So when Joel came home from work I said, Daddy, Vance has to tell you something. And we told him what Vance found. We told Vance to keep it a secret for awhile. Later Joel went to bed and it was just me and Vance. Vance came over and gave me a blue piece of paper with things written down, I said what is this, thinking it was another Christmas list. He said a list of baby boy names! I almost cried, soooo sweet!!! He is soooooo EXCITED for this baby!! And so are we!!!!
